Mitcha Mural

One mural we plan to paint is for the CFB Livingstone School on location in the Mitcha missionary compound in Lubango, Angola. We intend to paint two panels making a square piece depicting the “Natural Wonders of Angola” (in Portuguese “Maravilhas Naturais de Angola”) for this grade school. Shown are animals like the heron, monkeys, zebra, sable, bustard, hyena, whale, elephant along with local plants like pears, banana tree, tomatilla and coffee bush, all within the shape of the Angola map… you can also see local landmarks like Mount Moco and the Tundavala Gap.

We have also done some research about installing masonite panels. We either intend to paint on panels and have them mounted on the plastered cinder block walls, or we will paint right on the wall… the following are two murals by other artists in Alberta with example installation methods. We hope to achieve similar results.
